Phone Party TV

How to use your phone as a game controller on TV

Open a Phone Party TV game in a browser on the TV, or on a laptop plugged into it. A QR code and a 4-letter room code appear. Each player scans the code with their phone camera, types a nickname and joins. The phone then becomes a private controller. Players don't need an app or an account.

In testingThe games aren't online yet. These steps show how joining works in our test builds.

Common problems

The QR code won't scan. What now?
Type the 4-letter room code shown on the TV into the join screen instead.
My phone locked or dropped out.
Open the same page again. Your phone keeps a reconnect token, so the game puts you back in your seat.
Do phones need an app or an account?
No. Phones use their normal web browser, and nobody signs up.
Can other players see my screen?
Only if they look at your phone. During play, the TV doesn't show your private tip, hand or role.
